Billy Jo Williams played two and one-half years for the Cavs from 1983 to 1985. Williams joined the Cavs second semester in 1982-83 after transferring from Canisius College. Williams helped the 1982-83 Cavs complete a perfect regular season (30-0) and win their first District 22 championship, and first trip to the NAIA National Tournament. The next two years were pure magic for the athletic Williams. He averaged 19.2 points in 1983-84 and 22.8 points in 1984-85. Walsh won its second straight MOC and District 22 championship that same year. Billy Jo was a third-team NAIA All-American in 1983-84 and a honorable mention choice in 1984-85. He was a two-time recipient of the Larry Arrington Award (District 22 MVP) and J. Albert Turner Award (MOC MVP). Williams scored a single game record 45 points against Cedarville College on February 2, 1985, and finished his career with 1,654 points (1st at the time), single season points (708) and career field goals (702). Williams played professionally in France from 1985 to 1999.
