H. Larry Brown participated in football at Mount
Union. He entered Mount Union in 1915, left just prior to the
start of the 1917 football season to enter the military
service. He returned for the 1919 football season.
Brown earned three varsity letters in football. In 1916, he
earned All-Ohio honors, and was a member of one of Mount
Union’s great defenses, shutting-out five teams during the
season. In 1919, he scored the only touchdown in a 57-7 loss
to Notre Dame in South Bend.
