Meadow McWhorter (MHCC Head Softball Coach) - Meadow McWhorter was the head coach at Mt. Hood Community College between 2002 and 2016. During McWhorter's tenure at Mt. Hood, she won seven Southern Region Championships (2004, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2016), five NWAC Championships (2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2016), was named the NWAC Coach of the Year four times (2009, 2010, 2014 and 2016), and her staff earned the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Coaching Staff of the Year three times (2004, 2008, and 2014). While at Mt. Hood, McWhorter's teams were not only successful on the field but excelled in the classroom as well. Her leadership was recognized not only by her peers at Mt. Hood but across the conference and her student-athletes were an excellent reflection of the outstanding qualities that McWhorter possesses and instills in her students. McWhorter was fiercely competitive but was also a strong supporter of improving opportunities for girls and women of all ages. She was also an advocate for all students at Mt. Hood and worked closely with the Associated Student Government to provide voices and equitable opportunities for all students.
