Wade “Skip” J Beamer Jr was born on 13 July 1970 to Wade and Ancilla Beamer and raised in Attica, OH. He is a Tiger Alumni from the Class of 1988. During his time at Seneca East, he participated in cross country, wrestling, and track accumulating 11 varsity letters.
He enlisted in the Marine Corps during his senior year and upon graduation from Seneca East reported to MCRD, Parris Island, SC on 1 Aug 1988 for recruit training. Upon completion of recruit training he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Private First Class and reported to the Basic Motor Vehicle Operators course at Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Camp Johnson, Camp Lejeune, NC.

In January 1989, PFC Beamer reported to Camp Pendleton, CA for duty as a motor vehicle operator with 1st Light Armored Infantry Battalion, 1st Marine Division. While assigned there he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. In August 1990, Lance Corporal Beamer was reassigned to 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division where he served as a motor vehicle operator, MIMMS clerk, Line NCO and Battery Motor Transport Chief for Delta Battery, 2nd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment and Echo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment until April 1994. While assigned to Delta Battery, 2d Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment he was attached to Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment for Unit Deployment Program 91.1 rotation to Okinawa, Japan. In January 1991 he was redeployed in support of combat operations for Desert Shield/Storm. During this period he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In September 1992 he was deployed again as a member of Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment for a Western Pacific deployment with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and participated in combat operations is support of Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, Africa. Upon return, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and received orders to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA for duty as a Drill Instructor and was assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion. After completing a successful tour; Sergeant Beamer reported to Base Motor Transport, Camp Pendleton, CA in April 1997 for duty as a Motor Vehicle Operator and he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

In June 2000, SSgt Beamer executed orders to 5th Battalion, 11th Marines and was assigned to Romeo Battery for duty as the Motor Transport Chief. He completed a Western Pacific deployment with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Force, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment. In January 2003, he deployed to Kuwait and participated in combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After returning from deployment he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and reassigned to Headquarters Battery as the Battalion Truckmaster.

In April 2005 Gunnery Sergeant Beamer reported to Truck Company, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division and served as the Company Gunnery Sergeant and 1st Sergeant. During this period he deployed to Camp Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from January 2006 to January 2007.

In September 2007 he was promoted to the rank of Master Sergeant and reported to Headquarters Marine Corps for duty where he served as the 3500 Occupational Field Manager until receiving orders to Combat Logistics Battalion 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, Camp Pendleton, CA in Dec 2008. Upon reporting for duty with Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Master Sergeant Beamer was initially assigned as the Operations Chief for the Motor Transport Company before being reassigned to the Battalion S-3 Operations Chief billet. In September 2009 he deployed with the battalion to the Helmand Province of Afghanistan in support of combat operations for Operation Enduring Freedom. In March 2011, Master Sergeant Beamer reported to Truck Company, 1st Marine Division for service as the Operations Chief and was promoted to the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant.

In June 2012, Master Gunnery Sergeant Beamer reported to Headquarters Marine Corps for duty as the 353x Occupational Field Manager responsible for the manning, equipping, and training for the entire Marine Corps Motor Transportation field. In September 2015, Master Gunnery Sergeant Beamer report to 2nd Marine Division where he served as Division Transportation Coordinator until he retired with 30 years of honorable and faithful service on 1 August 2018.

Master Gunnery Sergeant Beamer’s personal military decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service medal with (1) gold star in lieu of second award, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal with (2) gold stars in lieu of third award, the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon with (2) gold stars in lieu of third award, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
