Karl Kuhn played football at Tech from 1988-91 where he was standout tight end.
In his final year as a Wonder Boy in 1991, Kuhn was named a NAIA All-American and All-AIC.
Kuhn’s skills on the gridiron were exceeded only in the classroom as he was lauded as a three-time Academic All-American both by the NAIA and by CoSIDA. His three Academic All-America awards are the most by any athlete in Arkansas Tech history.
In 1991, Kuhn capped his career with the highest academic honor possible as he was named the CoSIDA College Division Academic All-American of the Year for football.
