Jim Dickerson coached women’s basketball at Tech from 1982-83 – 1986-87 and also coached volleyball from 1982-1985.

As head women’s basketball coach, Dickerson compiled a 120-33 overall record and won 20 or more games in all five seasons at the helm with a high mark of 29 victories in his final season of 1986-87.

Dickerson would guide the Golden Suns to consecutive AIC Championships in 1985-86 and 1986-87 and led the team to the NAIA Final Four in 1986-87. His 120 wins in basketball are third-most in program history while his .739 winning percentage is second all-time.

In volleyball, Dickerson posted a 102-22 record and won at least 25 matches in three of his four years. He would win 30 or more matches twice with the most wins of 34 coming in 1985.

Dickerson would win the first three AIC Championships ever awarded in volleyball, doing so over his final three years. During that run, Dickerson’s Golden Suns lost just one conference match.

His 102 volleyball wins are third-most in program history while his winning percentage of .823 ranks first.
