One of the highest individual honors a student-athlete can receive in Skagit County now belongs to Sedro-Woolley's Reagan Evans! The Skagit Valley Herald has named Evans its 2025–2026 Girls Athlete of the Year, recognizing an extraordinary year defined by excellence in athletics, academics, and leadership. A standout in both basketball and fastpitch, Reagan helped lead the Cubs to remarkable team success while establishing herself as one of the premier multi-sport athletes in Washington.
Away from competition, she continued to excel in the classroom, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and exemplifying what it means to be a true student-athlete. This well-deserved recognition reflects the dedication, work ethic, and character that Reagan brings to everything she does. Congratulations, Reagan, on this outstanding achievement!
