Dr. Monique Morgan

Monique Morgan was an active student at Trinity High School as a member of the National Honor Society, Trinity Band, Math League, Speech and Debate team, and Shakespearean Acting Troupe.

After her high school graduation, Morgan attended Harvard University, majoring in Physics, Astronomy, and Astrophysics. She had the once in a lifetime opportunity of working on the Hubble Space Telescope. Upon graduating from Harvard, Morgan continued her education, matriculating at Stanford University for her Ph.D. in English, eventually becoming an Associate Professor of English at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Morgan currently is an Associate Professor of English at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Over the course of her career, Morgan has been described by her students as “one of the smartest people they have ever met” and “a compassionate, insightful teacher.” Morgan has published several journal articles and a book, titled Narrative Means, Lyric Ends, relating to her experiences in the English field.

Morgan is the perfect image of someone who followed her dreams, fully trusting in their capacity to provide for a bright future and happy life. One of Morgan’s words of wisdom includes “speak up for what you believe is right, and listen when others speak up for their beliefs” and to “realize that there is always room for improvement.”
