Kathleen Sabol

Kathleen Sabol is a member of the Washington community who is selflessly dedicated to helping others. At Trinity, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Jazz Club, Prom Committee, May Day, Latin Club, as well as Speech and Debate Team. She was a Library Aide and a football team statistician. Upon graduating from the College of Wooster, Sabol advised the Wooster Volunteer Network. This emphasis on community service led her to study nonprofit administration at Harvard, where she earned her Master’s degree.

As Executive Director of the Washington County Bar Association, she administers its charitable Foundation and coordinates community programs such as a tri-county high school mock trial program and public Law Day activities. She launched the countywide Sister-to-Sister Summit for middle school girls and served as the first female president of the Washington Rotary Club.  She is on the planning committee for the Whiskey Rebellion Festival, is an officer for the Washington branch of the American Association of University Women, and has served on the board of several non-profit organizations.

For her exemplary dedication to service she has been awarded the Pennsylvania Bar Association Arthur J. Birdsall Award, the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Athena Award, Pittsburgh’s Forty Under Forty, the Washington Rotary Roy Gillespie Community Service Award, and the Washington County Community Foundation Louis E.  Waller Humanitarian Award.
