Robin Winston was a leader in student government at Trinity and interned for the Washington County Public Defender’s Office. A graduate of the University of Louisville, where he was elected president of the student body. He later served as chief of staff at the City of Louisville’s legislative body and as a Special Assistant to Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor. In 1999, he became the first African-American to chair a political party in Indiana, becoming Chairperson of the Indiana Democratic Party. After successful service as Party Chair, he now owns one of the largest minority-owned government affairs, community relations and public outreach firms in the nation. In 2008, he worked with the Obama for President staff and later was selected as a member of the Presidential Electoral College. He is a life member of the NAACP and is civically active in his community. He provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior or alum of Trinity High School.
