Mr. Lou Waller embodies the characteristics of a Hiller. He participated in the Marching Band, Jazz Club, Dance Club, Ski Club, and Stage Band. He was an outstanding scholar-athlete as a member of the basketball and track teams throughout his four years at Trinity. Waller earned his Bachelor of Science degree at West Virginia University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Waynesburg University.
Waller has continued to build on his family’s legacy of service and leadership to the local community. He is a prominent local business leader, civil rights activist, and church leader. He began his career with the Waller Corporation in the contracting business and is currently the president of Waller Corporation.
Community service is an essential part of Waller’s life, as he is very active in the Washington County charitable community. Currently, he is a Director of the Washington Financial Savings Bank and a director of the Presbyterian Senior Care Foundation Board. In the past, Mr. Waller was the Campaign Chairman of the Annual United Way fund drive, member of the Washington County Airport Advisory Board, Chairman of the Washington County Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board, Chairman of the Washington County American Heart Association, Director of the American Red Cross, Director of the Washington County Habitat for Humanity, a member of the Washington Kiwanis Club, and Director of the Washington Y.M.C.A. Mr. Waller has also been elected to two four-year terms on Washington’s City Council. In addition, he has been the head coach of the Canon-McMillan girls basketball team, an assistant coach of the Trinity boys basketball team, and an assistant men’s basketball coach at Waynesburg University.
