Dr. Michael Faust received the Observer-Reporter’s Best Pediatrician award in 2017, 2018, and 2019. He has served as the pediatrician for hundreds of children in the area, and worked to develop the Washington Hospital Children’s Express, which provides after-hours care. While continuing his pediatric practice, he simultaneously serves on the neonatal resuscitation team, and is the executive director of the physician’s staff of the Washington Physicians Group. He served as Trinity Area’s medical expert during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, and his guidance, expertise, and recommendations were largely instrumental in keeping schools open and creating a safe learning environment for students.

As a Trinity student, Dr. Faust won accolades for his talent as a musician and member of the band. After graduating from Trinity High School, he continued his schooling at West Virginia University of Medicine, where he earned a Ph.D. He completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Faust works in leadership capacities as a professional and member of the community. He chairs numerous professional committees and is known as “the guy in the choir who plays the drums on occasion” and a lay leader at church.
