The most known Lancer alum is New York Yankee ace Gerrit Cole. Cole graduated from Orange Lutheran in 2008. After high school, Gerrit went on to lead the UCLA Bruins to the College World Series.
Gerrit was drafted as the number one overall pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2011. Cole has spent time in the Major Leagues with the Pirates, the Astros, and the Yankees. He has become one of the best pitchers in baseball.
